Candlewood Suites Mobile Downtown
The Candlewood Suites is a redevelopment of the American National Bank site. In the early days of Mobile banking, the ANB broke the barrier by lending to ordinary residents who weren't typically able to obtain loans at the large banks. This led to it being known as "the people's bank" and it served the Mobile community for many years before being bought out by what is now Regions Bank. The building was torn down but its brick, wrought iron and stone floors were salvaged for use in the Candlewood Suites and other buildings in Mobile. The hotel was designed to compliment the historical architectural fabric of Mobile. In 2010 the Candlewood Suites opened as the only extended stay hotel in downtown Mobile.
A residential hotel experience in an urban location. Close to everything but secluded for a quiet and enjoyable stay. All suites have fully equipped kitchens and plenty of room. Completely guest-centric with a 24-hour convenience store, lending locker for those items you didn't bring along, a fitness center. Casual, comfortable, friendly and secure atmosphere. A relaxing courtyard surrounding the swimming pool and an outdoor entertainment lounge with beautiful gardens, a fire pit, television, and grills for cooking.
Ideal for longer stays, it’s also the best travel value in downtown Mobile for business or leisure.
